HOLLYWOOD legend Mel Gibson is to star in a big screen remake of an acclaimed Welsh-filmed '80s TV drama.

A NORTH Wales community hospital has won a stay of execution following a review of controversial reconfiguration plans. Health Minister Edwina Hart yesterday said Blaenau Ffestiniog Hospital would retain its beds for at least another year.
