Jeff Beck, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Metallica, Run-D.M.C. and Bobby Womack are to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, organizers said. The announcement of the 2009 inductees was made Wednesday by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

Metallica, Run-DMC and the Stooges are among the acts nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year in Cleveland, it was announced. The other 2009 induction nominees are Jeff Beck, Chic, Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, War and Bobby Womack.
