Bord Gais has announced that it is committing E2.4 million to enable an expansion of the Sustainable Energy Ireland's Warmer Homes Scheme to more households, with half the amount to be used by the scheme in winter 2008.
Bord Gais has purchased a 30MW windfarm development in the west of Ireland. The total investment in the windfarm will be about E50 million and it is expected to be operational in 2011. Earlier in 2008, Bord Gais announced that it had earmarked E1 billion for investment in new business areas.
