By Lynn Berry Associated Press MOSCOW -- Vladimir Putin's party won a crushing victory in parliamentary elections Sunday, paving the way for the authoritarian leader to remain in control even after he steps down as president.

MOSCOW, Dec 2 (Interfax) - State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov cast his vote at Polling Station No.178 in Moscow, not far from his home, on Sunday the Duma Public Relations Department told Interfax. Gryzlov did not meet with journalists. Nor did he make any statements, the Department said.
