Milan Michalek had a goal and two assists Saturday night and the San Jose Sharks slugged out a 6-5 victory over Detroit. Christian Ehrhoff and Dan Boyle had a goal and an assist apiece and Ryane Clowe had four assists for the Sharks (33-6-5), who won for the fourth time in five games and finished the night with a three-point lead over the Red Wings (31-8-6) for the best record in the Western Conference. Evgeni Nabokov allowed five goals on 34 shots for San Jose. Marian Hossa scored twice and had two assists for Detroit, which also got a goal and assist each from Brian Rafalski and Henrik Zetterberg.
