Three outstanding professors have been elected Fellows of the British Academy ( regarded as a knighthood in learning. The UK's top academic distinction in the humanities and social sciences goes to Professors James Dunn (Theology), Ray Hudson (Geography) and Paul Sillitoe (Anthropology).
