By NICK GOODWAY ASSOCIATED British Foods, BP and DuPont are to build a massive biofuel plant in the UK which, when it comes on stream in 2009, will be able to supply one-third of the country's renewable energy needs for vehicles.

By Bob Fernandez, The Philadelphia Inquirer Jun. 27--DuPont Co. said yesterday that it would invest $58 million in two biofuels plants in Britain with partners BP P.L.C. and British Sugar P.L.C. The total cost of the plants is $400 million.
