IRON Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson piloted one of the planes that rescued XL holidaymakers stranded abroad, it was revealed last night. A passenger spotted the rocker on the specially-chartered Monarch Airlines flight from Sharm El Sheikh yesterday morning.
By KATE MANSEY IRON Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson proved a real rock to hundreds of stranded Brits yesterday as he flew to their rescue. The heavy metal star, who also works as an airline pilot, picked up 180 XL passengers stuck in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
IRON Maiden's Bruce Dickinson has joined a British team to fly non-stop round the world in computer simulators. The rock singer, who has an airline pilot's licence, will be one of 17 cyber flyers on the seven-day virtual trip for charity. He will set off from virtual Sydney airport on November 4.
