By Sue Doyle, Daily News, Los Angeles Jan. 24--Green waste from City of Los Angeles residential areas is processed at the Bradley Landfill and Recycling Green Waste Processing Area. 900 to 1,100 tons of green waste is turned in to compost or agricultural mulch each day at the facility.
By Sue Doyle Hoping to make landfills relics of the past, the city of Los Angeles wants all 3,600 tons of trash picked up daily from its residents to be recycled or turned into compost or alternative energy by 2030.
