Thailand-based telecoms company CAT Telecom has signed a THB2 billion ($59m) contract with technology provider Marubeni (Thailand) to build a fiber-optic backbone network. The automatic switched optical network will link the entire country with Bangkok via 9,000 km of optical-fiber lines.
