By Anne-Marie Tobin, THE CANADIAN PRESS TORONTO - For the first time in 30 years, the number of nurses graduating in Canada has exceeded 9,000, but the total still falls short of the number needed to meet current and future demand, says a new report.
Canada Post today issued a domestic rate (52 cents) stamp celebrating the centennial of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA). The CNA is a federation of 11 provincial and territorial nurses' associations and colleges representing more than 133,700 registered nurses and nurse practitioners.
