An American jury has ordered a Minnesota mother of four to pay one and a half million dollars for committing two dozen acts of copyright infringement using an online file-sharing network.

A Minnesota mother of four is seeking either a third trial or drastically lowered court-ordered damages for illegally downloading copyright-protected music. Jammie Thomas-Rasset, 32, Brainerd, was ordered to pay $1.92 million in a U.S.

On Thursday, a 32-year-old woman was found guilty by a U.S jury of illegally downloading 24 songs over the Internet in a high-profile piracy case.
