BUS-USERS in the Vale will have a chance to quiz managers from two leading bus companies later this month. A bus user "surgery" will be held in the library, King Square, Barry, on Thursday, February 28, between 10am and 2pm.

A vintage truck which dates back to the 1940s is being handed over to the Welsh Transport Heritage Museum. Carrington Wire, which is based in Seawall Road, Cardiff, is donating the truck in front of members of Rhymney Valley Transport Preservation Society, Caerphilly Council and the museum.
I KNOW I'm not alone in being irritated by these new Scania buses fitted with televisions and the unavoidable noise they create. I have spoken to drivers who agree with me and also with fellow passengers.
