Carlos Gomez, Brendan Harris and Denard Span combined to drive in 11 runs for Minnesota Sunday, carrying the Twins past the Chicago White Sox 13-7. Gomez whacked a three-run home run and totaled five RBI, Harris had a two-run shot and three RBI, and Span ripped a solo homer and drove in three runs. Scott Baker (7-7) was the winner, working 6 1/3 innings.

Joe Mauer's RBI single put Minnesota ahead in the seventh Friday after the Twins squandered a four-run lead and they held on to beat the Chicago White Sox 6-4. The Twins halted a three-game losing streak and moved within a half game of Chicago for second place in the American League Central. Minnesota struck for four runs in the first inning, two of them coming on a double by Jason Kubel, but Chicago battled back to tie it in the sixth. Reliever Octavio Dotal walked Nick Punto to open the Minnesota seventh and was relieved by Matt Thornton.

Joe Crede drove in three runs and Carlos Gomez added two more Tuesday in Minnesota's 7-3 inter-league win over the host Milwaukee Brewers. The Twins outhit the Brewers 12-8 and scored all seven of their runs in the first three innings while roughing up losing pitcher Jeff Supan (5-5) to the tune of nine hits in five innings. Crede's three-run double in the first inning staked the Twins to an early lead.

Jason Kubel hit for the cycle Friday, completing it with a grand slam homer that rallied the Minnesota Twins to an 11-9 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Kubel's slam capped a seven-run eighth inning that began with the Twins facing a 9-4 deficit.
