The United States will be trying for a third straight triumph over a European squad that will have to play without the retired Annika Sorenstam. This year's matches will be played over the Rich Harvest Farms course in suburban Chicago.
Karrie Webb's runner-up finish at the Women's British Open was worth an improvement of two spots in the Top 10 of the latest world golf rankings. Webb finished three strokes behind Catriona Matthew for the British Open title but still went from ninth to seventh in rankings released Monday.
