Upton hit a two-run homer in the sixth and a solo shot in the eighth, after which Chad Qualls recorded a shaky save to end Arizona's three-game losing streak. Qualls loaded the bases with nobody out in the ninth before getting Henry Blanco to ground into a run-scoring double play. Jody Gerut moved from second to third on the play and Luis Rodriguez then drew a walk to put the tying runs on base.
Tony Clark keyed a two-out, four-run rally with a two-run double in the eighth Friday, giving the Arizona Diamondbacks a 5-2 decision over Milwaukee. The Diamondbacks erased a 2-1 deficit to end the Brewers' four-game winning streak.
