By Paul Wiseman TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Following the highest-level talks ever between China and Taiwan, Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou expressed hope Tuesday for an eventual peace accord with the two longtime rivals.
Taiwanese and Chinese leaders met in Beijing Thursday for what officials said was an effort to improve diplomatic ties between the two governments.
