Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines start sharing journeys JAKARTA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed an agreement under which the carriers will benefit from joint marketing and promotion, code sharing and special rate agreements.

Airbus has handed over the first A380 to Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was handed over to Chew Choon Seng, CEO of Singapore Airlines by Airbus president and CEO Tom Enders. Singapore Airlines will be the first to fly the A380 on regular scheduled service.
