Luke Hochevar (7-10) coasted to his second complete game and the first shutout of his three-year major league career. Olivo drew a bases-loaded walk in the third, hit his first two-run homer in the fourth, delivered a sacrifice fly in the seventh and homered again in the eighth.
Chris Getz highlighted a four-run seventh with a two-run single Friday and the Chicago White Sox erased an early 3-0 deficit to down the New York Yankees 10-5. Chicago beat the Yankees for the second straight night, shrinking New York's lead over Boston in the American League East to 1 ½ games. Mark Teixeira doubled home two of the three New York runs in the first.
Chris Getz and Josh Fields knocked in two runs each Sunday to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 7-4 victory against the Kansas City Royals. It gave Chicago a four-game sweep. The lone hit for Getz was a one-out, two-run single in the ninth inning that gave Chicago a 6-4 lead.
Chris Getz tripled in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning Friday and the Chicago White Sox rallied from a three-run deficit to defeat Texas 4-3. Jim Thome drove in three runs with a sixth-inning double and Getz came through with his big hit to give the White Sox their fourth win in six games.
Jim Thome and Josh Fields homered to back up a solid outing by John Danks Wednesday and bring the Chicago White Sox an 8-2 win over Baltimore. Danis (2-0) gave up a run on four hits with three strikeouts over seven innings.
