Arizona rallied from a three-run deficit in the late innings, then outlasted the Pirates despite wasting scoring chances in the 10th and 11th.

Dan Haren struck out eight over eight innings Thursday and was supported by an 11-hit attack in lifting the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 5-2 victory over Atlanta. Haren (4-4) lost his first three starts of the season despite allowing only four earned runs.

Eric Byrnes and Chris Snyder drove in three runs each Sunday when the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Washington 10-8 for their first win under manager A.J. Hinch. Byrnes hit an RBI double in the third and a two-run fifth-inning homer.

Tony Clark keyed a two-out, four-run rally with a two-run double in the eighth Friday, giving the Arizona Diamondbacks a 5-2 decision over Milwaukee. The Diamondbacks erased a 2-1 deficit to end the Brewers' four-game winning streak.

Chris Young and Chris Snyder drove in two runs each Thursday when the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Philadelphia 8-3 for a four-game split. Young launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning while Snyder hit a two-run double in the fourth. Four other Arizona players had one RBI each.
