State legislators in Chihuahua, Mexico said Sunday that they have asked Federal authorities to ban a shoot-em-up video game called "Call of Juarez: The Cartel".

Ciudad Juarez, the notorious Mexican border city at the heart of a wave of brutal drug violence, is home to thousands of drug addicts, and the number continues to climb.

A team of researchers from the University of California San Diego and Mexico has found that even a modest behavioral intervention program averaging just 35 minutes can measurably reduce the incidence of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among female sex workers in the U.S.-Mexico border region – and that the program succeeds at comparatively little expense.

The warring drug cartels along Mexico’s border region have begun spreading their violence from the streets to the internet, as drug bosses post brags, threats and gruesome videos to chat rooms and websites.
