Two RBI each from Cody Ransom and Brett Gardner Thursday led the New York Yankees to a 6-4 win over Minnesota, capping a season sweep. Ransom drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk and another with an RBI single. Gardner hit a run-scoring fielder's choice and an RBI single. Mark Teixeira hit a solo homer, his 21st this season, to break a 23-game long-ball drought. Derek Jeter drove in a run. And eight batters had one hit each for the Yankees, now 7-0 against Minnesota this season. The winner was Jonathan Albaladejo (4-1).

New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman won't be active in the trade market to replace third baseman Alex Rodriguez, who had hip surgery this week.
