By PAM ZUBECK Colorado Springs Utilities' natural gas customers will get a price break for three decades under a $653 million deal made Wednesday. The typical residential user will see a savings of $1.75 per month for 30 years because of the deal, part of an overall savings of $150 million.
ATLANTA, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorado Springs Utilities, a community- owned utility serving customers in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area, has surpassed 280,000 endpoints deployed in its electric, gas, water, and wastewater advanced metering project that started in 2005.
By Hazlehurst, John Senior officials at Colorado Springs Utilities aren't optimistic about the future if the Southern Delivery System isn't built, and they fear that the few options available should the project fail might cause severe repercussions for the local economy, utility customers and the city.
