It's interesting that Corky DeMarco is the spokesman for economic development in West Virginia. When did Gov. Manchin appoint him? DeMarco failed to mention that Chesapeake Energy Corp. was aware a lawsuit was pending when it purchased Columbia Natural Resources.

By Keith Benman, The Times, Munster, Ind. Oct. 5--Two years after NiSource Inc. unloaded the main part of its gas production business for $330 million in cash, it is being snapped up by an Oklahoma company for $2.2 billion.

Sep. 18--NiSource has completed the sale of an East Coast fiber optic network it acquired as part of its purchase of Columbia Energy Group in 2000. Columbia Transmission Communications Corp.

NiSource Inc. today announced it has reached an agreement to sell Columbia Energy Resources, including Columbia Natural Resources, for $330 million. The buyer is Triana Energy Holdings Inc., an affiliate of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.
