By AINE HEGARTY SICK pensioners were left without a nurse on a ward for up to 10 hours on at least four occasions, it emerged yesterday. Patients at Oliver Plunkett Hospital in Dundalk, Co Louth, had no medically-trained carers overnight.

By ELAINE KEOGH TOURISTS at a top attraction are being left stranded because there is no bus to take them home. Coaches bring tourists from Drogheda, Co Louth, to the world heritage site five miles away in Newgrange, Co Meath. But the last bus back leaves before the centre closes.

A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has died in a farm accident in Co Cavan. The tragedy happened at around 8pm on Friday in the Ballyjamesduff area. The boy's body was taken to Louth County Hospital in Dundalk for a postmortem examination. The Health and Safety Authority is to carry out a full investigation.

By PAT FLANAGAN CALLOUS thieves have stolen a mini-bus used by soccer ace Gary Kelly's cancer charity. The robbers took the white 14-seater Ford Transit from outside the charity's headquarters in Drogheda, Co Louth, last weekend.
