The accident happened shortly before 6pm, when a van collided with a car that was stopped on the roadside. The baby boy was rushed to hospital following the crash, but lost his fight for life this morning. Two other people were also injured and are being treated in Drogheda.

By ELAINE KEOGH TOURISTS at a top attraction are being left stranded because there is no bus to take them home. Coaches bring tourists from Drogheda, Co Louth, to the world heritage site five miles away in Newgrange, Co Meath. But the last bus back leaves before the centre closes.
