Craig Counsell drove in four runs Saturday, and Mike Burns struck out seven batters in seven innings, leading Milwaukee to a 6-2 decision over Houston. The Brewers won their third straight, thanks to a continuation of their hot streak at the plate.
Yovani Gallardo gave up four hits in 7 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-0 win over Atlanta. Gallardo (9-7) walked four batters and fanned six in 118 pitches, while his RBI single gave Milwaukee a 1-0 lead with one out in the bottom of the fifth. Craig Counsell two hits and one RBI, Casey McGehee hit a two-run eighth-inning single and Frank Catalanotto added two hits for the Brewers, who ended a two-game skid. Nate McLouth had two of the four hits for the Braves, who had won four of five. Tommy Hanson (5-1) surrendered two runs and nine hits in his first major league loss.
