The 2012 NASA Ames Space Settlement Design Contest $5000 Grand Prize is awarded to six teens at Cypress Bay High School in Florida for the space settlement project "The Kon Tiki."

By Nirvi Shah, The Miami Herald May 21--At schools all over Broward County next school year, posters will proclaim the district's new, tougher stance on parents who lie about their addresses to get their kids into schools other than the ones in their home zones.

There still are people with an affection for newspapers. Some are actually young people. Perhaps "The Paper," a new reality series on youth-oriented MTV, will expand this base.
