Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett had arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to remove bone spurs from his right knee, the NBA team said. Celtics President Danny Ainge described the procedure as a success.
Boston Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge was hospitalized Thursday after suffering a mild heart attack, the team said. The 50-year-old Ainge was recovering nicely at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital and is expected to remain there for a few days, the team said. WCVB-TV said Ainge woke up Thursday morning with chest pains and was rushed to hospital, where doctors had to insert a stent to unclog an artery that was 100 percent clogged. He was with his wife, Michelle, at the hospital, Celtics managing partner Stephen Pagliuca told the Boston Globe.
