Jason Arnott's first hat trick this season and Pekka Rinne's sixth NHL career shutout led the Nashville Predators to an 8-0 win over Detroit Saturday night. The contest was all but over after Nashville scored five times in the first period. Arnott scored in every period, including on the power play in the second period, to raise his goal total to 26.
