Jarome Iginla had a goal and an assist Monday and the Calgary Flames beat Los Angeles 4-1 to take sole possession of first place in the Northwest Division. Daymond Langkow, David Moss and Jim Vandermeer scored goals and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 23 shots for the Flames, who won for the second time in three games and lead Vancouver by two points as they prepare to visit the Canucks Tuesday. Kiprusoff has 45 wins this season -- fourth-best in NHL history.

Eric Nystrom's goal late in the second period Saturday boosted the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 victory against the Minnesota Wild. Nystrom's fifth goal this season snapped a 2-2 tie at 16:39 of the second and capped the scoring in the game. Jamie Lundmark and Daymond Langkow also had one goal apiece.

The Calgary Flames, led by Matthew Lombardi's two goals and one assist, skated to a wild 7-5 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes Saturday night. Lombardi's seventh goal of the season was part of Calgary's four-goal second period, and his eighth came at 3:05 of the third. Calgary's Adrian Aucoin, Daymond Langkow, Curtis Glencross and Eric Nystrom all scored once. Todd Bertuzzi had four assists, David Moss and Michael Cammalleri two assists apiece, while Miikka Kiprusoff was credited with 32 saves on 37 shots for the Flames, who have won three of their last four contests. Calgary led 5-2 when the third period started. The Coyotes' Daniel Winnik scored his first two goals this season in the first (power play) and second periods.

Daymond Langkow scored the go-ahead goal and added two assists Thursday, lifting the Calgary Flames to a 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders. It was the Flames' first win over the Islanders since January 2004, and the 14th consecutive road loss for the Islanders -- one short of the team record set 36 years ago.
