SPECIALIST contractors are due to arrive at a Northumberland beach this morning to dispose of a dead 10-tonne whale which was washed ashore two days ago.
VOLUNTEERS working on an animal and plants "bioblitz" recording project in Northumberland got a bigger dose of nature than they expected. The Druridge Bay and Northumberland Biodiversity Partnerships together with Northumberland Wildlife Trust hosted the 24-hour bioblitz at the bay.
