Summer Bird, ridden by Kent Desormeaux, won the 141st Belmont Stakes by two lengths Saturday at Elmont, NY

Jockey Calvin Borel will go for a historic first while riding Mine That Bird against nine other horses at the 141st Belmont Stakes in New York. Mine That Bird was made a 2-1 favorite Wednesday ahead of Saturday's Belmont Stakes.

Quality Road, considered one of the favorites for the Kentucky Derby, has been withdrawn from the Triple Crown race because of injury. Quality Road trainer Jimmy Jenkens canceled a Monday workout at Belmont Park because the colt had developed a quarter-crack in the right front hoof, the second such injury for the horse. Jenkens then said Quality Road won't compete in the Derby, which will be run at Churchill Downs Saturday.
