By FIONA MACLEOD TEACHERS have hit out at police officers stationed in Scotland's schools. Members of the EIS, Scotland's largest teaching union, have voted overwhelmingly for tougher limits on their powers amid fears that teachers were, in effect, being used as informers.

MSPs yesterday backed measures which will see under-18s banned from using sunbeds. Coin-operated unstaffed tanning salons are to be outlawed under measures agreed by Holyrood's Health Committee.
