By Karen Holzmeister CASTRO VALLEY -- In 1954, $5.3 million covered the cost of building Eden Medical Center and its first year of operation. In 2004, its 50th anniversary, plans were under way to construct an entirely new medical campus on the hospital's Lake Chabot Road site.
