FILMMAKERS from ten different countries have arrived in the Capital to take part in a week-long conference. The 24 young writers, directors and producers are involved in the Engage initiative, led by the Screen Academy Scotland at Napier University.

A YOUNG city filmmaker rubbed shoulders with some of the world's biggest directors yesterday at the Venice Film Festival, where her film is being launched. Catriona MacInnes, 29, is the only Scottish representative at the festival, with her short film I'm In Away From Here.
