Brad Bryant settled for an even-par round of 72 Friday, which was still good enough to give him a one-stroke lead midway through the Jeld-Wen Tradition. Bryant fired the lowest round of his Champions Tour career Thursday, a 10-under 62, and that effort contributed to his 36-hole total of 134.
Lonnie Nielsen shot 9-under 63 Sunday to win the Champion Tour's Dick's Sporting Goods Open at Endicott, N.Y., by three strokes. To win for the second time on the Champions Tour -- in New York state both times -- Nielsen had to overcome the three-shot advantage held by second-round leader Fred Funk.
Fred Funk had a 7-under 65 Saturday to take a three-stroke lead after two rounds of the senior Dick's Sporting Goods Open. Funk completed 36 holes at 15-under 129, breaking the previous 36-hole scoring record of 130 set last year by Eduardo Romero en route to victory. The first round was completed earlier Saturday after two weather delays Friday caused play to be suspended for the night due to darkness. Romero and Ronnie Black each missed the course record by a single stroke Saturday as they both fired 9-under 63 to move into a share of second place at 12-under 132.
Mark O'Meara posted a 7-under-par 65 Saturday to move into a three-way tied for the lead after two rounds of the Cap Cana Championship seniors event. O'Meara was at 8-under 136 through 36 holes and shared the lead with Keith Fergus (68) and Eduardo Romero (68).
Eduardo Romero shot a 3-under-par 68 and won the Toshiba Classic in California Sunday by one shot over Joey Sindelar and Mark O'Meara. Romero finished at 11-under 202, good for his fifth victory on the Champions Tour.
