Following a national search, The University of the Arts has named Michael Nash, Ph.D., its new provost. Nash had served as dean and chief academic officer of the Boston Conservatory since 1999. He began in his new position on September 15, 2008.
A rockin' good time! Performers and musicians gave Emerson College students an interactive tour of the industrial-playground set of of Cutler Majestic Theatre's upcoming presentation of the dance/rock opera "Games of Steel." With a visual and musical landscape that includes rock music, steel cellos, 16-foot see-saws and ladders to nowhere, Attack Theatre's touring "Games of Steel" is described by promoters as "`Mad Max' meets `Urban Survivor.' " Performances begin Friday at the Emerson College venue.
