Rocky Mountain power reports that a pesky squirrel messing around with equipment at an Emigration Canyon substation caused the loss of power to about 6,100 customers shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday.

Hogle Zoo will offer free admission to members of the military and their families today for Salute Our Military Day. Free flags will also be given out to the first 500 children in the zoo, and a banner donated by Hill Air Force Base will thank the troops.
