Enel Green Power is one of the world's leading players in the renewables industry and a global leader in geothermal power generation.

Enel North America along with its partners at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New England Research have been awarded funding totaling up to $1.02 million from the US Department of Energy under a grant opportunity for R&D and demonstration of enhanced geothermal systems.

Enel, through its subsidiary Enel North America, has completed a wind farm in Texas, US, with investments by an affiliate of GE Energy Financial Services, the energy investing unit of GE.

Italy's Enel, through its subsidiary Enel North America, has entered into an agreement with Windkraft Nord USA to buy all of the interest and rights to the 63MW Snyder Wind Project, which is to be developed in Scurry County, Texas.
