EPHRATA, Pa., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Winter is here! So is the nasty weather. The ugly weather may discourage you but it does not deter your dog from craving the vigorous exercise it needs for good heath and well being. For some dog owners, breeders, kennels and others this is a problem.
Ephrata Community Hospital will host the 5th annual Hunter's Health Check event on Sunday, October 19, Noon-3 p.m. at the Cocalico Center for Health, 63 W. Church Street, Stevens. This free event will provide health screenings, outdoor information and more for hunters and their families.
Dr. Susan R. Hovenden will discuss Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, also known as PCOS, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ephrata Health Pavilion, 175 Martin Ave., Ephrata. PCOS is not new, having been first described in 1935.
WALKING: The Early Birds, Ephrata Community Hospital's walking club for senior citizens, will meet at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, for a walk, breakfast and speaker at Ephrata Community Hospital, 169 Martin Ave., Ephrata.
The following students were named to the deans' list for the spring semester: AKRON - Jonathan Ebersole, a senior majoring in sport and exercise science; Kerilee Nickles, a sophomore majoring in elementary education; Ryan Strosser, a senior majoring in psychology.
