Mike Napoli had two hits Sunday, including a solo homer, to lead the Los Angeles Angels to a regular season-ending 5-3 win over the Oakland Athletics. The homer, Napoli's 20th of the season, drew the Angels within 2-1 leading off the top of the third. Bobby Abreu, Torii Hunter and Kendry Morales each drove in a run, one run scored on Craig Breslow's sixth-inning balk, and Erick Aybar had three hits for the AL West champion Angels, who carry a three-game sweep into the AL Division Series against Boston Thursday. The winner was starter Joe Saunders (16-7). Kevin Jepsen earned his first save despite giving up a run and two hits in the ninth. Oakland's Eric Patterson and Cliff Pennington had two hits and one RBI apiece.

Scott Kazmir threw five scoreless innings to lead the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to a 4-2 win over the Oakland Athletics at the Coliseum. Angel Robb Quinlan went 2-of-4 with three runs batted in the middle game of the three-game series. Kazmir (10-9) gave up three hits, fanned three and walked one to take the win for the AL West champions, who have won six of seven.

Ervin Santana pitched a shutout and Kendry Morales had a home run and three RBI Monday when the Los Angeles Angels beat Texas 11-0 to clinch the AL West title. Santana (8-8) went the distance, scattering seven hits, walking one and striking out three for the Angels, who won their third straight division title. Morales drove in two runs with his 33rd home run of the season in the first inning, when the Angels scored three runs.

John Lackey threw his first shutout in two years Thursday -- his fourth against Seattle -- carrying the Los Angeles Angels to a 3-0 victory over the Mariners. Lackey (10-7) struck out seven, gave up five hits and threw 111 pitches.

Erick Aybar drove in the winning run in the 10th inning for the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday in their 3-2 victory over Seattle. Aybar singled off of Miguel Batista (6-4) to drive in Bobby Abreu, who opened the inning with a single and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and a ground out. The first-place Angels lead Texas in the American League West by 4 ½ games. Abreu had two hits and an RBI for Los Angeles. Matt Palmer (10-1) picked up the win by pitching a scoreless 10th.
