By Betsy Gilliland The Columbia County school system's latest middle school rezoning proposal will affect all eight of the middle schools that will be open next year. The original proposal, which was announced last month, affected seven of the middle schools.

When Jacob Siu moved to the area at age 5, he was already proficient in Spanish and English. Now the 12-year-old Martinez resident can add Chinese to the list.
