Everlasting Moments and Let the Right One In each have picked up five Golden Beetle awards in Stockholm, Sweden. Moments took the best picture prize Monday night, while its stars, Mikael Persbrandt and Maria Heiskanen, won the respective awards for best actor and actress in a leading role.
The Swedish Film Institute has nominated Involuntary, Let the Right One In and Everlasting Moments for its best film Golden Beetle award. The directors of each of the three movies -- Ruben Ostlund, Tomas Alfredson and Jan Troell, respectively -- are also in the running for the best director award, the Institute announced in Stockholm Tuesday. Nominated in the category of best actress in a leading role are Lena Endre for her work in Heaven's Heart, Maria Heiskanen for her performance in Everlasting Moments and Cecilia Milocco for her role in Involuntary. Shortlisted for the best actor in a leading role prize are Mikael Persbrandt for his work in Everlasting Moments, Gustaf Skarsgard for his performance in Patrik Age 1.5 and Peter Stormare for his role in Wolf.
