Defending champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga came from behind Friday and earned a semifinal berth at the $608,500 Thailand Open. Tsonga, who is the tournament's No. 1 seed, got past qualifier Marco Chiudinelli 6-7 (9-7), 6-3, 6-4 in their quarterfinal match.
Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber, the No. 2 seed, and Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu won their second-round matches Wednesday at the Open de Moselle tennis event. Kohlschreiber rallied to beat fellow German Bjorn Phau 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Sweden used straight-set wins by Robin Soderling and Andreas Vinciguerra for a commanding 2-0 lead over the United States in the ATP World Team Championship. Soderling took out San Querrey, 6-2, 6-2, and Vinciguerra was a 7-5, 6-4 winner over Robby Ginepri Tuesday.
Little-known American Wayne Odesnik and Australia's Lleyton Hewitt were semifinal winners Saturday at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston. Odesnik beat Germany's Bjorn Phau 6-4, 6-3.
