By Emma Corlett Business Editor The Westcountry's largest airport is planning to create 2,000 jobs and add a further pounds160 million to the regional economy over the next two decades.
Exeter International Airport has taken the wraps off its latest image as it enters a new era in its history. The most prominent elements of the rebranding of Exeter Airport have gone on show with the installation of new terminal signs and a redesigned website.
A campaign group has been launched to oppose plans to expand Exeter Airport. The group, which calls itself Stop Expansion of Exeter Airport (SEEA), follows in the footsteps of two other groups, Airport Concern Exeter and Airport Watch South West.
Exeter International Airport was yesterday sold in a pounds 60 million deal. Owner Devon County Council said it had been sold to Regional and City Airports (Exeter).
