The Fillmore Ranger District will be conducting a prescribed burn in the Horse Hollow area of Fishlake National Forest, starting the first week of October and continuing through December, U.S. Forest Service officials said Friday.

Fire restrictions in three of Utah's national forests have been relaxed due to changing weather patterns, officials announced on Wednesday. The changes will affect the Fishlake National Forest, the Dixie National Forest and the Manti-Sal National Forest.
Off-road travel is restricted on approximately 735,943 acres of the Dixie National Forest. Approximately 1,150,113 acres are currently open for off-road travel.
