To the editor: I am a teacher at Foothill High School. I have taught there since the school opened. I am also a name reader at our graduations.

By The Sacramento Bee, Calif. May 25--A $23,000 scholarship was awarded to Hoanha Ly, a senior at Foothill High School, at the Carmichael Kiwanis Club meeting last week. Ly, 18, received the Loretta Barksdale-McElvain Scholarship, established by a past Kiwanis officer in memory of his wife.
