By Derek P. Jensen, The Salt Lake Tribune Jun. 25--Color-coordinated purple and orange bus routes, two new TRAX loops, glistening green bike lanes -- painted nearer the middle of the street -- and an end to the bicycle ban on sidewalks.
The Gallivan Center is now accepting proposals from nonprofit organizations for free use of its winter indoor meeting facilities. The center's meeting room is located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City and seats up to 150 people. Proposals for use from January through April are being accepted.
Two attorneys will be honored Thursday during a meeting in Salt Lake City's Gallivan Center. The Natural Resources and Environmental Law section of the Utah State Bar has chosen John S. Kirkham of the Salt Lake law firm Stoel Rives LLC as its 2007 Lawyer of the Year.
Marcus Borg's visit to Salt Lake City is one of several events scheduled as part the of The Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable's annual Interfaith Week, which runs Feb. 3-11. All events are free and open to the public. Other activities include: -- Feb.
