The University of Georgia has reported six minor violations of rules governing collegiate athletics to the NCAA this year, documents indicate. Citing information obtained from UGA under open-records laws, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday that three of the six self-reported secondary violations involved the Georgia Bulldogs football program. The violations have since been resolved with the NCAA and Southeastern Conference.
Mark Fox, who coached the Nevada Wolf Pack to 123 wins in five seasons, has been hired as the men's basketball coach of the Georgia Bulldogs. Fox, 40, was an assistant at Nevada for four seasons before taking over the head coaching position there in 2004. At Georgia he replaces Dennis Felton, who was fired Jan.
Mark Fox has reportedly decided to leave the University of Nevada and become the basketball coach of the Georgia Bulldogs. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Fox will be introduced at a news conference Friday. Fox has led the Wolf Pack for five seasons, compiling a 123-43 record.
